Governance relationships shall be explicit, hierarchical, and non-circular.

Every governance relationship shall have a clearly defined source of authority.

Architecture Governance Methodology provides governance methodology.

Engineering Constitution establishes governance authority.

Approved Governance System operationalizes constitutional governance.

Engineering Baselines realize approved governance.

Release Baselines deliver approved engineering.

Authority shall flow downward.

Feedback shall flow upward.

Governance authority shall not originate from engineering artefacts.

Governance decisions shall originate from the Architecture Board.

Engineering decisions shall conform to approved governance.

Engineering implementation shall not redefine governance authority.
